What should you know about ION
Indian Orthodox Network (ION) aka Malankara Orthodox Network is the first of its kind of an online network of the Indian Orthodox Church members across the globe. ION seeks to deepen and enrich the faith of Indian Orthodox Christians around the world by employing and harnessing the power and reach of the cutting edge Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools.
The activities would range from streaming audio programs and on-demand podcasts to social networking sites and administration of other online mediums by featuring liturgical music from Indian Orthodox traditions, as well as prayers, readings, lectures, interviews and broadcasting Church News to its faithful.

H G Paulos Mar Milithios had the privileged of becoming the first bishop of newly formed Kunnamkulam Diocese on 1st August 1985. His Grace was elevated as Metropolitan on 25th Oct 1991. Besides shepherding the kunnamkulam dioceses His Grace serves as the president of orthodox Syrian Sunday school association of the east (OSSAE), MBCH Mannapra Vadavucode, Pulikottil Mar Divannasius Bhavan Kottapady. His Grace was the vice president of Mar Gregorios Orthodox Christian Student Movement of India, MMM hospital, Kunnamkulam and manager of M. D. college Pazhanji. His grace has also served as the president of the Orthodox Youth Movement. The Holy Episcopal Synod and the Managing committee nominated His Grace as the successor to the Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan on 27 Sep 2006. On Nov 1st 2010 His Beatitude Paulos Mar Milithios was installed as the 8th Catholicos of East & Malankara Metropolitan by His Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Didymus 1 at St.Peter & St.Paul Church, Parumala.
My beloved, We do have some dreams about the Church. Beyond all external visible growth and progress, we wish that the Church should be transformed as a sojourning community of believers who walk along with Christ, the true bridegroom discerning his will. The words of Monsignor Van Thuanin his Book ‘Testimony of Hope’ bear great relevance in the contemporary Indian Christian Church- “I dream of a Church that is the Holy door, always open, embracing all, full of compassion; that understands the pains and sufferings of humanity, protecting and consoling all people.”
